THE OFFICIAL POSITION
- on the situation regarding events caused by the coronavirus
According to the official statement issued by the Association of Event Organisers and Service Providers of Hungary - MaReSZ - the following are the guidelines for the coronavirus epidemic:
“Under the current government regulation, only music and dance events with more than 500 people are banned, and this criterion does not apply to corporate events. (A music and dance event is defined as an event that provides a music service as a main service (e.g. festival, popular music concert, dance club, dance club, disco, rock club) on a regular basis or at a specific time and place, with a selected record release or live performance, and where the event does not require a reserved seat. The figure of 500 persons includes the staff serving the event).”
“(...) according to the regulations in force, since 18 June 2020, company events can be held both indoors and outdoors without any limit on the number of participants (e.g. conferences, presentations, trade fairs, team-building programmes, roadshows, etc.).”
As explained above:
✔ Efforts should be made to avoid large clustering
✔ Only healthy, symptom-free and healthy-feeling people should participate in the events
✔ Personal hygiene: antiviral hand sanitiser should be provided on site in the social rooms, if possible.
✔ Disinfection: regular cleaning and disinfection of surfaces with antiviral agents
✔ Distancing, avoiding grouping, it is recommended to keep a distance of 1.5 m between participants if possible. In queuing areas, it should be ensured that the queue does not become congested and that a distance is maintained between the waiting participants to ensure adequate protection.
✔ The WHO recommends wearing a mask in all places where it is difficult to maintain a safe distance, i.e. where the protective distance of 1.5 metres cannot be maintained.
✔ In confined spaces, special attention should be paid to continuous or regular natural ventilation with increased intensity to reduce the concentration of pathogens.
✔ For artificial ventilation, ensure a continuous supply of fresh air and avoid mixing air back into the system.
