Europe's first Railway Historical Park is a special and unique event venue in Budapest.
The Park's territorial characteristics allow for the organization of any event without time and noise restrictions, including private and corporate events, classical and popular music concerts, receptions, gala dinners, professional conferences, training courses, spectacular product launches, family days and other gatherings.
The foundation stone of the Hungarian Railway Historical Park was laid on 22 November 1999, the first phase of the project was completed in nearly eight months, and six months later this unique place was opened.
The 70,000 m2 of the Park showcases more than 100 railway vehicles and the equipment needed to run them - a unique attraction in Europe.
This unique and special venue is not only suitable for transport-related sporting events.
The large area of the venue in Zugló allows any type of event to take place without any time or noise restrictions.
Special services can be added to each event, such as fireworks from a steam engine, gate-breaking with a locomotive, lighting of park walkways with torches and similar ‘actions’ to make the event unforgettable. Guests will be able to ride on a large locomotive, do a turnaround, take a ride on the garden railway and even compete in a handicap race...
As long as the weather permits, the Railway Historical Park offers the possibility to organise outdoor events. The well-kept park, the promenades and the playground are ideal for tented events, family events and weddings.
The Park offers 3 different venues for events in addition to the outdoor area with a capacity of 4000 people: the Exhibition Hall, the Kandó Hall and the Orient Hall.
The Kandó Room with air conditioning, projector, internet connection is located a few meters from the main entrance of the Park, ideal for small conferences and presentations.
The Orient Hall is one of Budapest's largest heated event halls with a floor area of 3000 square metres. This large area can be divided into elegant dining carts or huge steam engines, so that it can be transformed into several separate venues within the same event. Of course, the space can also be reduced for smaller gatherings.
Sound and lighting equipment, special visual elements and scenery can be installed.
